Consuming gubinge will help build stronger bones and teeth and prevent osteoporosis due to the rich amount of calcium and magnesium it stores. Its high volume of dietary fiber helps clear accumulated waste from the colon and encourages intestinal peristalsis, making it a great natural cure for constipation. In addition to that, it also gives a feeling of fullness because of the fibers’ water retaining ability. This makes the fruit an excellent weight loss food aside from the fact that it holds a low calorie and fat content.
Gubinge holds two potent phytochemicals: the gallic acid, which has an antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties; and the ellagic acid, known to have an anti-carcinogenic effects against a wide variety of carcinogens in the body. Its antibacterial and antiviral level is enough to boost the immune system when taken on a regular basis, no more worry about winter coughs and colds. Its phytochemicals coupled with microelements makes gubinge a reliable defense against premature aging.
