The Nutmeg e.o. (essential oil) comes from the seed of the fruit with the same name. Nutmeg has a Latin name called Myristica fragrans. It is also known by other names. These include:
- moz moscada.
- nuez moscada.
- mux moschata.
The Nutmeg e.o. has a spicy and warm scent. Like its name, it also has a nutty aroma.
This essential oil has many uses. For one, the Nutmeg e.o. can be used for pain relief. It is effective in treating muscular and joint pain. It is due to its sedative properties.
